The Samsung 990 PRO is a 1TB M.2 NVMe solid state drive built for PCIe 4.0. Samsung rates it for sequential reads of up to 7,450 MB/s, and its own nickel-coated controller helps keep heat in check in desktops, laptops and consoles. This listing is the Canada version (MZ-V9P1T0B/AM).
It is a strong pick for gamers, since it supports DirectStorage on PC and works as PS5 expansion storage. Samsung Magician software lets you check drive health, update firmware and tune performance from your desktop.
Good fit for anyone upgrading an older SATA drive or adding a fast second drive for games and creative projects. Check that your board or laptop has a free M.2 2280 slot before you buy.
