Our take: An easy, hub-free way to make four rooms smart, and the 4-pack is discounted right now.
Worth it, eh? Yes, if you want colour lighting and schedules without buying a hub.

The Tapo L530E is a Wi-Fi smart bulb from TP-Link in a standard A19 E26 base. Each bulb puts out 800 lumens, offers 16 million colours plus tunable white from warm 2,500 K to cool 6,500 K, and dims smoothly from the Tapo app.
There is no hub to buy. The bulbs work with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice control, and the app tracks real-time energy use. Schedules, routines and a simulated sunrise make it handy for mornings and away-from-home lighting.
A good starter kit for renters and first-time smart home buyers who want to light up a living room, bedroom or kids’ play area without rewiring anything.
