Our take: A decent markdown on a wired video doorbell from a Canadian smart home brand, best if you already use ecobee.
Worth it, eh? Yes if you have existing doorbell wiring and an ecobee thermostat, otherwise compare it with other doorbells first.

The ecobee Smart Doorbell Camera (wired) is on sale at Amazon.ca. ecobee is a Toronto-based company best known for its smart thermostats, and this doorbell is designed to fit into that same app and ecosystem.
It records full HD 1080p HDR video with night view and two-way talk, and sends motion and person alerts to your phone. Its standout feature is a very tall, head-to-toe field of view (175° vertical), so you can see packages left right up against the door. It also works with Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home, and you can view the feed on an ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium. Package detection, longer video history and professional monitoring require an ecobee Smart Security subscription.
This one suits homeowners who already have a wired doorbell and want a camera that ties in with their ecobee thermostat and sensors. Check ecobee’s compatibility page before buying, since it needs existing doorbell wiring and does not run on batteries.
