Our take: A well-reviewed 27-inch curved monitor from a major brand with a deep markdown right now.
Worth it, eh? Yes, if you want a smooth, roomy screen for gaming or a second work display without paying for 1440p.

The Acer Nitro ED270R is a 27-inch curved monitor with a 1500R curve and a Full HD (1920 x 1080) VA panel. It is built for gaming but works just as well as an everyday desk screen.
Key features from the Amazon.ca listing: a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and AMD FreeSync Premium to cut down on stutter and screen tearing. The ZeroFrame design keeps the bezels thin, which helps if you plan to run two monitors side by side, and the stand tilts from -5 to 25 degrees.
It suits gamers on a budget, students and anyone upgrading from a laptop screen. If you sit close to a large display and mostly read fine text, a higher-resolution 27-inch model may look sharper, but for gaming and video this one is a strong pick.
